Hostile to every form of intelligence – Arundhati Roy on BJP-RSS

Author Arundhati Roy addressed students on Wednesday at a protest organised by Art Faculty of North Campus and urged people to give wrong names and addresses to NPR. Slamming the government, she said, "... according to this government the students are urban Naxals." She added that if Dalits and Adivasis fight against them they are called Maoist and Muslims are identified as a terrorist. On Tuesday the centre has passed a budget of 3,941 cr for NPR on which Ms Roy said, "NPR is nothing but a base for NRC and NRC is against Muslims of this nation and after CAA the same Muslims can't get citizenship if they get excluded from the NRC list." So she implored people to resolve around 5 names such as "Ranga Billa and Kung Fu Kutta" and addresses like "7 Race Course road" with a fake number for NPR.

Throwing a jibe at PM Modi’s speech at Ramlila Grounds, she said that he “lied” even though he knew he would get called out for it because the Media broadcasts his 1-hour speech at places where people aren’t conscious about the current predicament of the country. She ended her speech saying, ‘..they are hostile to every form of intelligence’. Predictably, the BJP came out all guns blazing with Subramanium Swamy calling for her arrest and calling her ‘traitorous’.
