Gathbandhan’s unbeatable chemistry draws massive support, threatens powers that be: UP

Uttar Pradesh, the largest state of the largest democracy in the world, is said to be the heartland of the Indian elections. The 2019 general elections is witnessing a fierce battle between the ruling BJP and the ‘mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) of SP-BSP-RLD. The political parties are leaving no stone unturned to target each other and to create hurdles in each other’s election campaigns.

The latest is the accusation by the mahagathbandhan that the Election Commission (EC) is acting in a biased way. This comes after Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party was issued a notice by the EC for allegedly crossing poll expenditure limit post the grand rally of the mahagathbandhan in Azamgarh. Consequently, his party was not permitted to hold any more election rallies in Azamgarh, that goes to poll this Sunday.

In this video, watch a glimpse of the massive support to the grand alliance in the Azamgarh rally. Is the supreme election authority really biased towards a party that is giving a headstrong fight to the BJP?
