In a continued brutal crackdown on any and all peaceful protests against #CAA (Citizenship Act) and NPR-NRC, the Delhi police beat up protesters, including women at the capital’s Delhi gate today.
URGENT: Delhi police has water cannoned at Daryaganj and has brutally lathi charged at Delhi Gate! They are hounding protesters and beating then ruthlessly. We are hiding somewhere they beat us saying, “Behen ki laure” and also beating up children also!

Reports say that 32 persons have been detained: there are also unconfirmed reports that senior advocate Prashant Bhushan was also among those arrested.
