The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested three men in Deedarganj area of Azamgarh identified as Bal Chand Jaiswal, Gopal Prajapati and Neeraj Kumar, according to Indian Express.

They have been detained for allegedly trying to convert a family to Christianity under the new Anti-Religious Conversion Bill, 2020. The police claim that they were holding a prayer at the house of one Tribhuvan Yadav on Sunday, December 20.

The Station House Officer of Deedarganj, Sanjay Kumar Singh said that they were conducting such prayers when a resident of the same area by the name Ashok Yadav accused them of attempting to convert the family to accept Christianity as their religion. He then approached the Police.

The Police told the media that three men worked as preachers after converting to Christianity and that after their arrest, they were produced before a court on December 21 which sent them to judicial custody.

This seems to be the 11th case registered by the Police in Uttar Pradesh. More updates awaited.
